What We Do

Land clearing and forestry services for Northeast Alabama

Whether you are prepping to build, opening up a pasture, or just taking back a property that got away from you, Bowman handles the heavy, overgrown work most crews turn down.

Forestry Mulching

Cut, grind, and clear trees and brush in a single pass. The material stays on site as a clean mulch layer, so there are no burn piles and no debris to haul off.

Why Clear Your Land

From unusable to buildable

Land that is grown up in brush and scrub is land you cannot use, cannot sell for what it is worth, and cannot enjoy. Clearing it does more than clean up the view.

Reclaim usable acreageOpen up ground for building, pasture, food plots, or recreation.
Raise your property valueClean, accessible land shows better and appraises higher than overgrown lots.
Cut fire and pest riskRemoving dead growth and dense undergrowth reduces wildfire fuel, snakes, and ticks near your home.
Healthier standing treesSelective clearing gives the trees you keep room, light, and better soil.
A single mature oak left standing in an open, cleared Alabama field after selective land clearing
We clear what needs clearing. The trees worth keeping stay right where they are.

Common Questions

Land clearing questions, answered

Forestry mulching uses one machine to cut and grind trees and brush in a single pass, leaving the ground material behind as a mulch layer. There are no burn piles and nothing to haul off, which makes it faster, cleaner, and easier on the soil than traditional clearing with a dozer and haul-off.

It depends on the acreage, how thick the growth is, and the terrain, so there is no honest one-size price. That is why we come out and give a free on-site estimate. You get a firm number before any work starts, with no pressure.

With forestry mulching, most of the material is ground into mulch and stays on site, so there is nothing to haul. For traditional clearing and stump work, we can include cleanup and haul-off in your estimate so the property is left ready to use.

It comes down to how dense the growth is, but light-to-moderate land can often be cleared at a rate of one to several acres per day. When we walk your property we will give you a realistic timeline for the job.

Yes. Selective clearing is one of the things we do best. We take out the underbrush, scrub, and small growth while leaving the mature, healthy trees you want to keep, which also gives those trees more room and light.
